Successful Strategies for Self-Regulation!

    An intermediate level, interactive on-line class that focuses on the identification, assessment and treatment of the multiple factors that affect self-regulation. Children with self-regulation dysfunction tend to have behavioral breakdowns and present with inconsistency in skills that are perplexing and limiting to functional output.


    Participants will gain an understanding of how the factors connect and interact with each other and will learn practical and specific strategies to address each of the problem areas that you can begin to apply immediately. The information provided is highly effective for addressing these inconsistencies in behavior. Upon completion, participants will have multiple strategies to apply when treating this elusive problem. This class will prepare you to treat and assess children with self-regulation dysfunction
    .

 

Who Should Attend?

    Occupational and Physical Therapists who are interested in learning PRACTICAL, hands-on, specific techniques focusing on the recognition and treatment of self-regulation dysfunction. These strategies will increase your clients? ability to consistently perform, resulting in notable functional outcomes in your treatment sessions. Special Educators and SLPs can also greatly benefit from this course content.

 

What You Will Learn?

    At the completion of this lesson, the learner will be able to:

    1. Define the term Self-Regulation Dysfunction
    2. Identify the structures involved in Self-Regulation
    3. Identify the 3 levels of Self-Regulation Dysfunction
    4. Label 2 factors that affect each of the levels of Self-Regulation Dysfunction
    5. Identify 2 specific strategies to address each level of Regulatory Dysfunction

 

Format:

    • Registered participants will have 30 days access to the class including downloadable handouts
    • Class can be taken in one sitting (10-12 hours) or broken into segments
    • Each segment contains instructors voice, interactive media, summaries and quiz/self-assessment
    • Each month registered participants have access to a live Q & A with instructor-save your questions!
    • At end of class, participants take a 10 question, multiple choice assessment to check out
