Making the Transition to a More Secure Future
A two-day, entry level OT/PT workshop for therapists new to pediatrics, returning to the field, transitioning from another area or those with experience who may need a refresher on current trends in pediatric practice. Contents are also applicable to COTA’s, PTA’s, Special educators and administrators. In this intensive two-day course, you will learn everything you need to know to begin to effectively treat children in the home, school and clinical settings.

What You Will Learn?
At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
Identify components of normal development through clinical observation.
Identify dysfunctional components of typical pediatric diagnosis and classify diagnosis in the pediatric population and appropriate treatment options.
Identify the appropriate testing tools and demonstrate through video observation the ability to evaluate the pediatric client.
Identify and prioritize the best treatment options for the pediatric client.
Identify the foundational principles of sensory integration disorders and treatments.
Demonstrate the ability to assess and identify appropriate treatment options through video analysis.
Continuing Education Credits:
A certificate of completion issued at the end of the course for 14.5 contact hours.

President of Hampton C.A.R.E.S., Inc., she has been practicing as a pediatric therapist for over 16 years and has developed the RCK Method, Re-Creating Kinesthetics based on her extensive background in alternative healing and holistic body work. She utilizes neuro-developmental treatment approach, pediatric developmental pilates, manual treatment, integration of retained reflex patterns and sensory motor integration to treat children and adults with a multitude of diagnosis.
