"Easying your Transition to Homecare"

Easing Your Transition To Home Care

    A two-day, entry-level workshop for therapists new, or transitioning into the field of early intervention. In this unique two-day session, you will gain all the information needed to begin working in this setting. The seminar promises to answer all your questions and help guide the therapist through the entire process of working in Early Intervention. You will leave COMPLETELY prepared to begin working in this challenging field!

    This program focuses on providing the therapist with practical information regarding how to begin in EI from -what toys to buy, interaction with infants and parents- to how to complete a comprehensive EI evaluation using several approved standardized testing tools and treatments.

    

Who Should Attend?

    • Occupational Therapist and  Physical Therapists.
    • Information also applicable to Special educators and Early Interventionists.

 

What You Will Learn?

    1. Learn the regulations and guidelines that govern Early Intervention.
    2. Identify and learn the requirements needed to begin working in Early Intervention.
    3. Learn to use the EI approved standardized evaluation tools (DAYC, PEDI, Peabody AIMS).
    4. Identify the appropriate treatment strategies to use with specific diagnosis in the EI client.
    5. Learn to document treatment sessions and the progress of clients in Early Intervention.
    6. Learn to write appropriate, family-centered long and short-term goals.

 

Continuing Education Credits:

    • A certificate of completion issued at the end of the course for 7 contact hours.
    • 0.7 CEUs awarded by NYSCEPT & AOTA (Approved Provider.). (The assignment of AOTA CEUs does not imply endorsement of specific course content, products, or clinical procedures by AOTA).

General Cancellation Policy:

    • 75% tuition refund if cancellation received up to four weeks prior to the date of the seminar.
    • No tuition refund if cancellation made after the four week deadline.
