TheraPeeds, Inc. was founded in 1996, by our President and CEO - Julia Harper, MS, OTR/L. Julia’s passion for working with children with special needs developed long before she became an Occupational Therapist. Her own personal experience led her to the field, as she observed her own mother struggle to find quality services for her sister. The frustration she felt for her family and the determination to find a better way to help her sister, led her to the field of Occupational Therapy, and later to research in the areas of Pediatrics and Sensory Integration. As her practice developed and she began training therapists, she soon discovered that not only did she have a knack for teaching, but she also really enjoyed sharing ideas and the personal and professional growth that training and interacting with their fellow professionals provides.
TheraPeeds, Inc. has evolved into the culmination of Julia’s two passions: teaching and providing pediatric services. TheraPeeds seeks to be the foremost leader in professional consultations with focus placed on providing direct high quality services to the therapists who will be directly impacting the lives of children with disabilities.
